Ganesha Special “Fried Modak”, How To Make Fried Modak Recipe

You will get Modak for bappa In every maharashtriyan family for Ganapati Festival. It can be in any like mawa modak, kaju modak, fried modak or steam modak.

This todays modak recipe is dip fry with sweet coconut and sugar inner filling with some dry fruits for extra rich flavors. Instead of sugar, you can use jaggery. This is more healthier option but I want to try traditional way to make fried modak so used sugar only. For outer layer, I used semolina and plain flour or maida. This plain flour gives nice crispy outer layer even whole wheat flour is also good alternative with semolina. This inner feeling can be used to make karanji which is one more sweet to make for Ganesha and Gauri festivals.
